this city administration is just so beyond anything… agreements cancelled, promises broken, asphalt as far as the eye reaches, no realization of the bike network concepts, not understanding a blip of livable city besides what one can do with cars, the city as a problem to be solved, rather than a project to be developed with its citizens.
just like other cities are haunted by their car-centered developments, we will have to live with this for decades to come. or we move away, to cities where we are not only a problem to be solved, but a citizen to be listened to.
this is a very sad day, not only because there will be a 7-lane highway in the city center seaside in Tallinn, but there continues to be a city administration that believes it can solve traffic and infrastructure problems in a way that reduces people’s quality of life and pisses on sustainability while lacking any vision.
